At last year’s Lonergan on the Edge, the Lonergan Society hosted a panel discussion on Lonergan’s thought and Black Theology. The panel consisted of Dr. M. Shawn Copeland of Boston College, Rev. Bryan N. Massingale of Marquette University, Dr. John Nilson of Loyola University in Chicago and two Marquette University doctoral candidates in theology, Duan Loynes, Sr. and David Horstkoetter. The panel was, to say the least, a rousing success. In light of the fruitful conversation, the Lonergan Society has organized a funded presentation at future Lonergan on the Edge meetings. The presentation is set out for papers engaging the intersection of Lonergan’s thought and contextual theologies. Attached below is the CFP we distributed this year. Though submissions for LotE13 have been closed for some time, if you have research that would be appropriate, please consider submitting a proposal next year. Information will be posted here and distributed via our e-mail list in Spring of 2014.
And, as always, please feel free to e-mail or tweet us with any questions.
